About

Born in The Philippines and raised in Singapore, the loneliness I felt growing up as an immigrant was softened by books and the stories in them. At the age of eight, I fell in love with reading. Shortly after that I picked up a pen and the rest, as they say, is history.

Hello dear reader, my name is Isabella Dela Cruz. I have a fondness for art, music, cats, and of course, writing. I have spent nineteen years of my life crafting stories, and I plan on spending decades more.

Storytelling has always been a passion of mine, no matter what form it took and what medium it was done in. Aside from publishing my own novels and poetry collections, I hope to one day write my own plays, films and shows, and even video games.

Now, as I venture forth into the world wholly declaring myself as a writer, my works centre mostly on the themes of mental health, identity, feminism, religion, and everything else that matters to me.

And so: I write the stories I never had when I was younger.

You’re welcome to stay here however long you’d like. I hope you find comfort in my stories.
